WHY DO YOU WANT TO DANCE?

“DANCING IS FUN”

— Dancing may well be fin, but a lot of sins are fun.

— Hebrews 11:25 Moses resisted the pleasures of sin.

“THERE IS NO SEXUAL CONNOTATION WITH ME IN DANCING”

— Then why don’t boys dance with boys?

— Dancing is lust oriented

— I Peter 2:11 – We are to abstain from fleshly lusts.

“WELL, DANCING DOESNTAFFECTME THAT WAY—

I AM ABLE TO HANDLE IT”

— Romans 14:15 - You may affect someone else “that way.”

— We are responsible for others.

— Maybe we can handle it, but will our actions cause a weaker brother or sister to fall?

“BOYS WILL HAVE THOSE THOUGHTS ANY WAY”

— Maybe so, but you don’t throw matches at dynamite just because it will explode anyway.

“I WON’T FIT IN IF I DONT GO-- EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING IT”

— Matthew 7:13 - It is difficult to get to heaven, sacrifices must be made.

— Exodus 23:2 - Don’t follow a multitude to do evil.

— A Christian must stand out from the crowd, not blend in.

“I BE RIDICULED IF IDO NOT GO”

-- Matthew 5:12 - Yes, you probably will.

-- I Peter 4:16 – We will suffer sometimes as a Christian.

“THERE WILL BE CHAPERONES THERE”

— Then that makes it chaperoned sin.

— Chaperones cannot control your thoughts.

“JUST GO AND WATCH”

— If its wrong to dance, why would it be OK to watch?

— Matthew 5:28

“THE BIBLE DOESN’T SAYNOT TO DANCE”

— Galatians 5:19 - In reality, it does.

“BECAUSE I WANT TO DISOBEY GOD”

— That is the only reason to go to the dance.
