GOD IS THE LIGHT

All Scriptures are inspired by God (II Timothy 3:16). Through inspiration God gave men the very words He wanted them to say and record (I Corinthians 2:13; John 16:13). By inspiration John wrote, "God is light and in Him is no darkness at all" (I John 1:5) God is light in the sense of purity, holiness, and truth. The word of God is light to show us our path (Psalm 119:105).

Jesus Christ is also light. He is the light that came to this earth to shine in the darkness (John 1:1-5). Jesus Christ showed us the light in the way that He lived. He showed us the light in the words that He spoke. The Christian faith is the light because it reflects the teaching and character of Christ. Consequently Christians shine as lights in a crooked and perverse world (Philippians 2:15).

Recently I went to the toy section of the local Wal-Mart store. I went for the purpose of listening to the Little Mommy Cuddle and Coo baby doll produced by Mattel-Canada for Fisher Price. When you walk past, or wave your hand in front of Cuddle and Coo she will make cooing sounds. Do it three times and she makes a few cooing sounds, then suddenly stops moving, stares directly ahead, and with a slightly different voice says, "Islam is the light." I found the same doll making the same statement in Target and in JC Penny's. The same doll was found at K-Mart, but there was different voice chip in the dolls at K-Mart. The versions at K-Mart did not say, "Islam is the Light.”

This little doll has caused a great deal of controversy across the country. In some places so many people have complained that the stores have taken the dolls off the shelves. The doll with the Muslim voice chip is still on the shelves of stores in our area. MatteI has denied any intention of putting the expression, "Islam is the light," in the doll's voice chip. However, enough complaints were made to MatteI that this company started putting a different voice chip in the dolls. The ones I found at K-Mart had the newer voice chip.

How many little girls will get this cute little doll for Christmas that repeatedly tells her "Islam is the light?" If Mattel had been honest and had marketed this doll as a Muslim doll there may not have been so much controversy. But, the fact that MatteI presented this toy as simply a cuddly baby doll indicates intent to deceive.

Islam is not the light. Islam is darkness. It is a darkness that abuses women. Recently a thirteen year old girl in a Muslim country was stoned to death. Her crime? She had been raped by an adult Muslim male. This little girl was the victim twice.

Islam is not the light. Islam is darkness. My wife graded Bible correspondence course lessons for a Muslim girl in Africa. This girl had rejected Islam and was fascinated by Christianity. My wife had to send the lessons to a friend of the girl so that her father would not find out. She told my wife if her father found out she was studying with Christians she would be beaten or killed, or both. After a while the girl wrote back and told my wife not to send any more lessons. She was in danger of being caught, or had been caught.

Islam is not the light. Islam is darkness. Islam denies the divine nature of Jesus while elevating the false prophet, Muhammad to the status of a prophet greater than Christ. Some Muslims demand death for those who dare suggest Jesus is divine.

Islam is not the light. Islam is darkness. Muslims slowly took over the country of Lebanon through immigration and reproduction. Eventually, Muslims equaled the "Christians" in number. "Christians" in government gave concessions to the Muslims. Time went on and the Muslims then outnumbered the Christians. The Muslims eventually began to control the government. What was once a prosperous Middle Eastern nation is now a war tom mess in which Christians fear for their lives.

The cute Little Mommy Cuddle and Coo doll is a shameless and deceptive attempt to brainwash precious little American children. God is the light. Islam is darkness. Spread the light!
